So me knowing nothing about these cars... What I would guess is that thing leaking is some sort of electric fuel pressure regular. If it's getting hot it's possible that it's internally shorted or stuck. That pluger not going down could be that's it's pressure controlled as some sort of mechanical safety feature. The motor does sound like it's running lean when you rev it.

What your pointing at is what appears to be a fuel injector. You cant just hook 12 volts to it, it will burn up. It is ground controlled by the ecm.

Mercedes used the same system 1978-1990 check it out.

Bosch k jet, it has air leak causing plunger to not move. Simple

Put a American engine and Trans in it and have a better Ferrari then it came from the factory.

Bosch Mechanical fuel injection.. you will have to disassemble and clean and renew that entire system.

I’d reach out to Alex from Legit Street Cars …you have a Bosch setup similar to his Delores and he just did a wack of trouble shooting…good luck My best buddy had a Lamborghini Uracco with 4 downdraft Webbers that was an impossible nightmare to sync….😂

Sounds like a vacuum leak of some kind but not sure. this is an insane fuel injection system. Seems to have one fuel injector one with the blue wire then what it’s attached to is a fuel distributor with hard fuel lines going to the cylinders reminds me of a diesel injection pump like on a 6.9 international

Get a stand alone ecu with fuel ejectors like the car wizards Ferrari, the fueling system on it is an endless nightmare
